Sarku Japan, a quick-service chain of more than 240 stores, was breached on September 7, 2026, and the ransomware group The Gentlemen claimed it eight days later. No filing says how the attackers got in; Texas counts 687 of its residents affected. The exposed data runs from card numbers to Social Security numbers, driver's licenses, and passports. A food-court chain kept a full identity kit on file, and the card is the only piece anyone can cancel.
