Ontario Court SystemSep 2026
breach at Thomson Reuters
Ontario's courts didn't lose control of their own systems; they lost control of Thomson Reuters Canada's, the vendor running C-Track, a case management platform holding some of its documents and records. Thomson Reuters caught 'unauthorized activity' on June 30, contained it, and confirmed access to files whose contents the province still couldn't describe by its September 2 statement. Assurances of 'no evidence of identity theft' mean little when the institution making them still can't say what was taken, especially when sensitive court documents have nothing to do with 'identity'.

About this record
This incident is beyond the filings: attributed to a company statement, a regulator or court record, or a news report, and graded Attested or Inferred. Every figure links to the source it was read from; if we have read one wrong, tell us at info@hackerinahoodie.com. This index never sums figures across incidents. See the methodology.
