Attackers drained 100 million euros from Crédit Mutuel Arkéa's own account, arriving through the platform of an unnamed service provider and wiring the money to other banks, possibly onward into crypto. Which provider, how it was compromised, and who was behind it all remain unsaid. A supplier's platform had a direct line to the treasury, and that line was the real perimeter. Sophisticated is the bank's word for a exit door it built itself.
