AAttestedA previously undisclosed flaw in an unnamed vendor's remote access tool let an unidentified intruder into part of WindRose Health Network's systems on August 3 and 4, 2026. Names, patient IDs, insurance details, and dates of service for 33,158 patients were potentially copied from ordinary files on that network. The tool could not open medical records, and it did not need to: the patient data was already sitting in files a vendor's door led straight to.
